Maine State Police Detective Abbe Chabot hugs her husband, Maine Warden Service Cpl. David Chabot, after she was recognized Wednesday as the Maine State Trooper of the Year during a ceremony in Vassalboro. The 24-year veteran of the agency was cited for her extraordinary commitment and success at solving major crimes, including computer crimes against children, and the exceptional skill of her police canines, Tango, Pivot and Steve.
