Maine will continue to experience temperatures in the 40s until Thursday — when snow showers are possible.
The temperatures will dip back into the 30s. Light snow showers will possible in the morning in southern Maine. Then it will be mostly rain.
In the northern areas of Maine, a couple slushy inches of snow is possible Thursday. Then another inch or two
of snow could fall in the mountain regions into Friday. Snow squalls and gusty winds are possible Thursday night through Friday morning.
Mixed snow and rain will be entering the region around the time of the morning commute in some areas Thursday morning. Southern areas will be mostly rain with some accumulating snow mainly in the mountains Thursday into Friday. pic.twitter.com/GKeD4OD58i

The National Weather Service warns that the snow conditions could make roads slick.
Looking at the long term forecast, another storm system has the potential to bring significant amount of precipitation early next week. Forecasters don’t have confidence in the storm track yet.
