The regional cheerleading championships scheduled for Saturday have been postponed by the Maine Principals’ Association until Feb. 5 because of an expected snowstorm.
The sites for both regionals also have changed. Regionals for Class A North and South, Class B South and Class C South will now be held at Lewiston High School. Stearns in Millinocket will host Class B North, Class C North and Class D North/South.
Augusta Civic Center was originally scheduled to host the regionals that will now be held at Lewiston, and Cross Insurance Center in Bangor was set to host the regionals that will now take place at Stearns.
The Sun Journal coverage area includes teams that compete in Class A North, Class B South, Class C South and Class D South.
The state championship are still scheduled for Feb. 12 at the Augusta Civic Center.
