FAIRFIELD — Lawrence High School has announced its class of 2022 top 10 students in alphabetical order.

Gage Boudreau, the class salutatorian, is the son of Gary and Dawn Boudreau of Benton. While at Lawrence, he participated in golf: 9, 10, 11, 12; ran cross country: 12; participated in indoor and outdoor track: 9, 10, 11, 12; was on the math team: 10; and in National Honor Society: 11, 12.

Boudreau plans to attend the University of Maine to major in mechanical engineering.

Amelia Charland, the daughter of Lourdes and John Charland, resides in Fairfield. She was highly involved in USA Gymnastics all through high school, having reached Level 10 Regionals her senior year.

Charland plans on attending Smith College in Northampton, Massachusetts, and major in neuroscience.

Mikala Ferland, the daughter of Wilbur and Paulette Ferland, resides in Fairfield. While at Lawrence, she participated in Student Senate: 11, 12; jazz choir: 11; National Honor Society: 10, 11, 12; and was in the Mid-Maine Youth Orchestra: 10, 11, 12.

Ferland plans to attend Kennebec Valley Community College and major in nursing.

Blair Fortin is the daughter of Jennifer and Sean Brann of Benton. While at Lawrence, she participated in theatre: 9, 10 11, 12; one act plays: 9, 10, 11, 12; and speech: 10, 11, 12, winning the state championship in Storytelling and Oratory Interpretation of Literature her senior year. She was also in National Honor Society: 10, 11, 12.

Fortin plans to attend the University of Maine to major in ecology and environmental science.

Trey Goodwin is the son of Jim and Tara Goodwin of Benton. At Lawrence, he participated in cross country: 9, 10, 11, 12; golf: 9, 10, 11, 12; track and field, both indoor and outdoor: 9, 10, 11, 12; basketball: 9, 10; and National Honor Society: 11, 12.

Goodwin plans to attend Husson University and major in physical therapy.

Corbin Kissinger is the son of Daniel and Donna Kissinger of Fairfield. While at Lawrence, he played golf: 9, 10, 11, 12; baseball: 9, 10, 11; and was in National Honor Society: 10, 11, 12.

Kissinger plans to attend the University of Maine and major in wildlife ecology.

Caitlyn Mayo, the daughter of Jennifer Mayo and Steven Harrison of Shawmut, is the class president. While at Lawrence, she participated in Student Government and the Student Senate: 9, 10, 12; and was a peer leader in Sources of Strength: 12; and participated in fall and winter cheering: 9, 10, 11, 12, serving as captain her senior year in both seasons. She also participated in outdoor track and field: 9, 10, 11, 12, and was captain her junior and senior years; and she was in National Honor Society: 11, 12.

Mayo plans to attend the University of New England and major in medical biology and pre-med.

Renee McDonald is the daughter of Dennis and Traci McDonald of Fairfield. While at Lawrence, she served as a class officer: 9, 10, 11, 12; was in Olympia Snowe Women’s Leadership Institute: 10, 11, 12; was a peer leader in Sources of Strength: 12; a member of National Honor Society: 10, 11, 12; and she participated in dance outside of school for all four years.

McDonald plans to attend Thomas College to study business administration and plans to get her master’s degree in healthcare administration.

Nathaniel Pierce is the class valedictorian and son of Carl and Lori Pierce of Fairfield. While at Lawrence, he participated in soccer: 9, 10, 11, 12; golf: 11; swimming: 9, 10, 12; and track and field: 9, 11, 12; was in the marching band: 9, 10; jazz combo: 9, 10, 12; jazz choir: 11; and Vocal Vibe: 9. He also participated in theatre: 9, 10; was on the math team: 9, 10, 11; and participated in National Honor Society: 11, 12.

Pierce plans to attend Bates College and major in either mathematics or physics.

Emily Rhoades is the daughter of Jody and Andy Rhoades of Clinton. While at Lawrence, she played varsity soccer: 9, 10, 11, 12; was in theatre: 9, 10, 11, 12; participated in National Honor Society: 10, 11, 12; and was a peer leader in Sources of Strength: 12.

Rhoades plans to attend the University of New England to major in medical biology and pre-PA for her undergraduate degree. She plans to continue to get a master’s degree and become a physician assistant.
