SKOWHEGAN — The second annual Stuff the Cruiser for Veterans is scheduled for 9 a.m. to. 4 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 24 at Peters-Shortier American Legion Unit No. 16 at 217 Waterville Road.
Items dropped off at the event will be handed out to Maine veterans who are in the VA hospital or a veterans home, at no cost to them or their families.
Suggested donations include: Personal care items such as soap, deodorant, razors, shaving cream, shampoo, conditioner, unscented lotion, ChapStick, toothbrushes, tooth paste, combs, hair brushes and hair ties; and comfort items such as hard candy, lap blankets, fabric walker bag, T-shirts (all sizes), socks, word search puzzles, card games, cribbage board, pens, colored pencils and adult coloring books.
