• District 38

Benjamin C. Hymes, a Republican, won the three-way open race with 2,154 votes, defeating opponents Robyn M. Stanicki, a Democrat, and Heather Elizabeth Garrold, a Green Party candidate, with 1,463 and 586 votes, respectively. The district serves the Waldo County communities of Brooks, Jackson, Knox, Monroe, Swanville, Thorndike, Unity and Waldo.

• District 53

Michael H. Lemelin, a Republican incumbent, won with 2,671 votes, defeating opponent Jane L. Beckwith, a Democrat, with 1,962 votes. The district serves the Kennebec County communities of Chelsea, Pittston and Randolph; and in Lincoln County, Dresden.

• District 54

Karen L. Montell, a Democrat, won with 2,134 votes, defeating opponents Charles J. Bussell, a Republican, and independent Nicolas Delli Paoli, with 1,987 and 166 votes, respectively. The district serves the Kennebec County communities of Farmingdale and Gardiner.

• District 55

Daniel Joseph Shagoury, a Democrat, won the open race with 2,767 votes, defeating opponent Phillip Ryan Wiseman, a Republican, with 2,280 votes. The district serves the Kennebec County communities of Hallowell, Manchester and West Gardiner.

• District 56

Kent F. Ackley, an independent, was leading with 1,200 votes versus opponent Randall Adam Greenwood, a Republican incumbent, who had 969 votes, with one of three precincts reporting Wednesday afternoon. The district serves the Kennebec County communities of Litchfield and Monmouth; and in Androscoggin County, Wales.

Tavis Rock Hasenfus, a Democratic incumbent, was leading with 815 votes versus opponent Corey Wilson, a Republican, who had 738 votes, with one of two precincts reporting. The district serves the Kennebec County communities of Readfield and Winthrop.

• District 58

Daniel Jesse Newman, a Republican incumbent, was leading with 2,367 votes versus opponent Robert Smith Neal, a Democrat, who had 2,045 votes, with five of six precincts reporting. The district serves the Kennebec County communities of Belgrade, Fayette, Mount Vernon, Rome and Vienna; and in Franklin County, New Sharon.

• District 59

Raegan French LaRochelle, a Democratic incumbent, won with 2,407 votes, defeating opponent James E. Orr, a Republican, with 1,576 votes. The district serves parts of Augusta in Kennebec County.

• District 60

William R. Bridgeo, a Democrat, won the open race with 2,346 votes, defeating opponent William L. Clardy, a Republican, with 1,587 votes. The district serves parts of Augusta in Kennebec County.

• District 61

Richard T. Bradstreet, a Republican incumbent, won with 2,834 votes, defeating opponent Amy Davidoff, a Democrat, with 1,728 votes. The district serves the Kennebec County communities of Vassalboro and parts of Sidney.

• District 62

Katrina J. Smith, a Republican, won the three-way open race with 2,667 votes, defeating opponents Pamela Jo Swift, a Democrat, and independent Lindsey Harwath, with 1,510 and 437 votes, respectively. The district serves the Kennebec County communities of China and Windsor; in Lincoln County, Hibberts Gore and Somerville; and in Waldo County, Palermo.

• District 63

Scott Wynn Cyrway, a Republican, won an uncontested race, with vote totals not available Wednesday. The district serves the Kennebec County communities of Albion and Unity Township, and parts of Winslow; and in Waldo County, Freedom.

• District 64

Colleen Mairead Madigan, a Democratic incumbent, was leading with 1,873 votes versus opponent Ruth Ann Malcolm, a Republican, who had 735 votes, with one of two precincts reporting. The district serves the Kennebec County communities of Winslow and parts of Waterville.

• District 65

Bruce A. White, a Democratic incumbent, won with 2,047 votes, defeating opponent Tammy Brown, a Republican, with 1,000 votes. The district serves parts of Waterville in Kennebec County.

Robert W. Nutting, a Republican, was leading an open race with 876 votes versus opponent Alicia Barnes, a Democrat, who had 529 votes, with four of five precincts reporting. The district serves the Kennebec County communities of Oakland and parts of Sidney; and in Somerset County, Mercer, Smithfield and Starks.

Shelley Rudnicki, a Republican incumbent, won with 2,259 votes, defeating opponent Robert Sezak, a Democrat, with 1,790 votes. The district serves the Kennebec County community of Benton; and in Somerset County, Fairfield.

Amanda Noelle Collamore, a Republican incumbent, won with 2,365 votes, defeating opponent Stanley B. Short Jr., a Democrat, with 1,696 votes. The district serves the Kennebec County community of Clinton; in Somerset County, Pittsfield; and in Waldo County, Burnham and Troy.

Dean Cray, a Republican, was leading the open race with 2,179 votes versus opponent Stephen Alfred Hale III, a Democrat, who had 807 votes, with four of five precincts reporting. The district serves the Somerset County communities of Canaan, Detroit, Hartland, Palmyra and St. Albans.

Jennifer Lynn Poirier, a Republican incumbent, won with 2,007 votes, defeating opponent Iver W. Lofving, a Democrat, with 1,305 votes. The district serves the Somerset County community of Skowhegan.

• District 71

John E. Ducharme III, a Republican incumbent, won with 2,692 votes, defeating opponent Allison Mary Perkins, a Democrat, with 1,394 votes. The district serves the Somerset County communities of Cornville, Madison and Norridgewock.

Mike Soboleski, a Republican, was leading the open race with 2,237 votes versus opponent Vincent House, a Democrat, who had 1,687 votes, with 16 of 23 precincts reporting. The district serves the Somerset County communities of Dennistown, Highland, Jackman, Moose River, Northwest Somerset, The Forks and West Forks; in Franklin County, Carrabassett Valley, Coplin, Dallas, East Central Franklin, Eustis, North Franklin, Kingfield, Phillips, Rangeley, Rangeley Plantation, Sandy River, West Central Franklin and Wyman; and in Oxford County, Andover, Gilead, Lincoln, Magalloway, Newry, North Oxford and Upton.

Randall C. Hall, a Republican incumbent, was leading with 2,756 votes versus opponent Gregory Kimber, a Democrat, who had 1,673 votes, with eight of 10 precincts reporting. The district serves the Franklin County communities of Avon, Carthage, Industry, New Vineyard, South Franklin, Strong, Temple, Weld and Wilton; in Somerset County, the minor civil division of New Portland.

Scott H. Landry, a Democratic incumbent, won with 2,501 votes, defeating opponent Tiffany Estabrook, a Republican, with 1,335 votes. The district serves the Franklin County communities of Chesterville and Farmington.
