Elm City Bridge Club
The Elm City Bridge Club resumed games Jan. 3 after a Christmas break. Ed and Joyce Rushton finished first, followed by Sylvia Palmer and Linda Atkinson.
Third place was a tie between Su Morrison and Maryannne Trafton and Rona Backstrom and Jessie Gunther.
Games are played Tuesdays starting at 12:30 p.m. at the Waterville Elks Lodge, 76 Industrial St. in Waterville.

Capitol City Duplicate Bridge Club
Capitol City Duplicate Bridge Club winners for Dec. 28 were Dennis Purington and Ed Rushton. Pat Damon and Dan Townsend tied Fred Letourneau and David Offer for second place.
The winners for Dec. 29 were Fred and Lorrie Letourneau. Anil Goswami and David Martz placed second.
The bridge club meets at 12:30 p.m. every Wednesday at the Cohen Center, 22 Town Farm Road in Hallowell, and at 6 p.m. Thursdays at the East Winthrop Baptist Church, 55 Old Village Road.
Participants should bring a partner. Those who want to play but need a partner can call Director Paul Mitnik at 207-313-2648 at least two days in advance of the scheduled games.
