Bridge clubs name recent winners

Elm City Bridge Club

First-place players at the Elm City Bridge Club in Waterville Jan. 24 were Joyce and Ed Rushton.

Capitol City Duplicate Bridge Club

The Capitol City Duplicate Bridge Clubs winners for Jan. 25 were Paul Mitnik and Paul Sherman.

Fred Letourneau and Sharon Hinkley placed second, Janet and Ted Williams placed third, and Tom Hanley and Maureen Brochu placed fourth.

Winners for Jan. 26 were Paul Mitnik and Debra Gardner. Fred and Lorrie Letourneau placed second.

The bridge club meets at 12:30 p.m. every Wednesday at the Cohen Center, 22 Town Farm Road in Hallowell, and at 6 p.m. Thursdays at the East Winthrop Baptist Church, 55 Old Village Road.

Participants should bring a partner. Those who want to play but need a partner can call Director Paul Mitnik at 207-313-2648 at least two days in advance of the scheduled games.
