The Rangeley Skating Club and the Rangeley Lakes Chamber of Commerce held the eighth annual Rangeley Winterpaloozah!, a celebration of winter activities and competitions for the entire family, on Feb. 19 at Town Park and Haley Pond Park.

The event included skating, curling, pond hockey, horse and wagon rides, a marshmallow roast, snow kite, and Snowball “Ted.” All were free.

Three of the competitions were held at Town Park: Dog Keg Pull, Buoy Ball and Log Toss, with the Cardboard Box Race at Rangeley Inn Pavilion. There were a few defending champs, and some new competitors showed up to give it a go, according to a news release from Lisa Mejorado with the chamber.
