SKOWHEGAN — The Somerset Career and Technical Center plans to host a career fair from 1-3 p.m. Wednesday, April 12, for the community to meet employers looking to hire.
The fair will be held in the Skowhegan Area High School gymnasium, 61 Academy St. More than 50 businesses and organizations will attend.
Having a resume in hand will be helpful, but is not necessary, according to a news release from Lori Conway, center Student Success coordinator.
There will be signs outside directing where to park in the high school parking lot. Those who plan to attend are asked to enter through the side entrance doors of the gymnasium.
For more information, call the center at 207-474-2151.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
