The Farmington Falls Fire Company in Farmington plans to hold its annual yard sale and chicken barbecue in July.
Each year the yard sale money earned goes to maintain Philbrick Park and sponsors the Hawks Majors and Minors baseball teams, purchasing items such as uniforms, bats, balls and chalk.
The company is starting to collect items in preparation for the yard sale. Organizers are looking for donations of clean, gently used or new sellable items, but no dishes, clothing, books or magazines, according to a news release from Linda Gramlich with the community organization.
Those willing to donate or needing more information can call and leave their name, number and a message with Bob Gramlich at 207-778-3156 or Junior Turner at 207-778-2181.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
