Almost 100 square dancers from all six New England states, New York, New Jersey, and Canada converged to Old Orchard Beach for the annual St. Patrick’s Day Weekend Festival, which hasn’t been held for the past two years because of the pandemic.
Dancing started the night of March 17, followed by an after party in one of the motel’s meeting rooms, attended by many of the dancers.
The caller for that night was Ted Lizotte of Manchester, New Hampshire.
On the morning of March 18 participants danced to Mike Dusoe of Chelsea.
Dusoe had the group workshopping various calls that afternoon; he also called for the main dance that night, with Marilyn Rivenberg of Old Orchard Beach cuing the rounds portion of the evening.
