WASHINGTON — The Gibbs Library, 40 Old Union Road, plans to present the 18th annual Student Art Exhibit, featuring the work of student artists from Prescott Memorial Elementary School.
The show runs through the end of June. An awards ceremony will be held at 11:15 a.m. Saturday, June 3, during a 30th anniversary celebration.
Art Teacher Sherry Casas has guided the students using a wide range of materials, techniques and inspiration to express their creativity in these works. The pieces, representing all of the K-6 students, were selected, framed and displayed by Casas.
Library hours are 4-7 p.m. Mondays, 9 a.m. to noon and 4-7 p.m. Tuesdays, 3-6 p.m. Wednesdays, 9 a.m. to noon Thursdays, and 9 a.m. to noon Saturdays.
