WAYNE — The town’s Memorial Day committee invites all veterans to join the town parade on Monday, May 29, set to embark at 11 a.m. from the Wayne Community Church parking lot, 22 Old Winthrop Road.

From 10:30-10:45 a.m., veterans, musicians, boys, girls, scouts, and anyone with a focus on honoring veterans should assemble at the Wayne Community Church’s parking lot.

The parade exits the parking lot and goes to Main Street.

This year’s address will be given by Rev. Angela Rotherham who grew up in a military family, and is a local fire department chaplain and pastor at Wayne Community Church.

The parade will go along Main Street to Pond Road where it will turn around and stop briefly to lay a memorial wreath at the Memorial Stone on Main Street. It will then proceed to Memorial Park to continue the program.

If any veteran would like a ride in the parade, or if people are interested in giving a ride to a Vet, they can call Rick Parker at 692-3039.
