Winthrop Lakes Region Chamber of Commerce’s 35th annual Sidewalk Art Festival is set for 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 19.

More than 30 local artists and artisans will showcase their painting, watercolors, drawing, prints, photography, wood, metal, and fabric arts, according to a news release from Linda Easterbrooks, executive director with the Winthrop Lakes Region Chamber of Commerce.

The festival also will include local bands and musician entertaining from the stage on Union Street:
• 8:15 a.m.: Bill & Rob;
• 9 a.m.: Peter Carriveau;
• 10 a.m.: Bailey Ukelele Band;
• 11 a.m.: Ken Grahm & Friends;
• Noon: Ed Desjardine;
• 1 p.m.: Stone Quarry and
• 2 p.m.: Chris Servizzi.

Community activity also happening the same day:
• Winthrop Fire Department, Winthrop Maine Historical Society parking lot;
• Winthrop Rotary — hot dogs for sale;
• Winthrop Rotary — Window Dressers;
• Winthrop Congregational Church Church Fair, 9 a.m.- 1 p.m., featuring baked goods, Kate’s Quilts, jewelry, dish cloths, bottled water, Second Time Around and an accordion player;
• Bailey Public Library will be open 10 a.m.-3 p.m., as well as having a booth at the art festival;
• Winthrop Mural Committee; and
• Winthrop History and Heritage center and gift shop will be open, selling 2024 calendars, ice cream novelties, and more.
