WATERVILLE — The Rev. Jacques Dolbec, Society of the Blessed Trinity, recently retired after 18 years as chaplain at the Servants of the Blessed Sacrament chapel.

The occasion was marked by a Mass in the chapel and an outdoor reception on the convent grounds.

Dolbec entered the Society of the Blessed Trinity after serving in the Armed Forces. He served in Iraq, Afghanistan and other places in the Middle East, according to a news release from Sister Kay Kay with the chapel.

The theme of his homilies was often taken from the book “Blessings from the Battlefield.”

Dolbec will reside in New Hampshire.
