Bridge clubs name recent winners

Elm City Bridge Club

Natasha Rosenbaum and Nancy Nesbit were the first place finishers on Sept. 19 at Elm City Duplicate Bridge, followed by Jeannie Reilling and Lynne Kerschner, second; and Ken Harvey and Diane Bishop, third.

Games begin at 12:30 p.m. Tuesdays at the Waterville Elks Lodge, 76 Industrial St.; new players are welcome.

Capitol City Duplicate Bridge Club

The Capitol City Duplicate Bridge Club winners for Sept. 20 were Harvey and Jean Bird. Glenn Angell and Dennis Purington placed second.

The winners for Sept. 21 were Tom Simmons and Anil Goswami. David Offer and Ben Lund finished second.

The games are played at noon Wednesday and 6 p.m. Thursday at the East Winthrop Baptist Church, 55 Old Village Road.

Participants should bring a partner. Those who need a partner can call Paul Mitnik, the director, at 207-313-2648 at least two days in advance of the scheduled games.
