Waterville Opera House is set to conduct auditions for “Head Over Heels” at 6 p.m. on Sunday and Monday, Feb. 4-5, at Studio 1902, Paul J. Schupf Art Center, 93 Main St., second floor.
Callbacks will be held at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 7.
A hilarious, exuberant celebration of love, “Head Over Heels” follows the escapades of a royal family on an outrageous journey to save their beloved kingdom from extinction — only to discover the key to their realm’s survival lies within each of their own hearts, according to a news release from the opera house.
This laugh-out-loud love story is set to the music of the iconic 1980s all-female rock band the Go-Go’s, including the hit songs, “We Got the Beat,” “Our Lips Are Sealed,” “Vacation,” Belinda Carlisle’s “Heaven is a Place on Earth,” and “Mad About You.”
Auditioners must be 18 and older.
Show dates are at 7:30 p.m. on April 26 and 27, May 3 and 4 and at 2 p.m. April 28 and May 5.
This musical contains adult themes and profanity. It is not appropriate for young children.
