WATERVILLE — Waterville Pediatrics, based at 295 C Kennedy Memorial Drive, now operates as a practice of MaineGeneral Medical Center, effective since April 1. MaineGeneral currently operates Kennebec Pediatrics in Augusta and Winthrop Pediatric & Adolescent Medicine in Winthrop.
“We’re pleased to grow our pediatrics services in the Kennebec Valley,” said Nathan Howell, President & CEO of MaineGeneral Health, according to a news release from MGMC. “The Waterville Pediatrics staff have built a great reputation in the community and we’re happy to welcome them to the MaineGeneral family.”
“We look forward to being part of a larger care team with access to a range of services to help families access their health care needs,” said pediatrician Melissa Taylor. “We’re excited to join this network of expert medical staff caring for children in central Maine.”
Howell said he expects Waterville Pediatrics patients to experience a seamless transition. The practice will retain its name, phone number and medical staff.
“Our mutual goal is to make this transition as smooth as possible for families,” he said.
MaineGeneral Health, the third-largest health system in the state, provides comprehensive health care services to people of all ages in the Kennebec Valley.
