Apparently Rep. Michael Lemelin fails to understand that the church and state are separate entities. There is a very good reason for that, as his interpretation of God is makes me queasy. The idea of the Lewiston shooting victims are a sacrifice to God for absolution on abortion rulings is on the face of it absurd and the heart of it insane. My God isn’t looking for human sacrifices.
I watched his “apology” and the insincerity was telling. He is lying by saying he’s sorry in order to keep his position. I would respect him more if he stood firm in his beliefs and defended his position rather than wimping out.
If he has any decency at all, he will resign.
