East Madison Days are planned for Friday to Sunday, July 19-21.
On July 19 at the East Madison Grange, 15 Grange Road, an art show opens at 5 p.m. with a jazz concert following at 7 p.m.
A yard sale will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, July 20, at the EMHA building, 1108 East Madison Road in Madison. There will be an Antiques Appraisal Fair with Lee Glynn from 1-3 p.m. at the East Madison fire station, 1110 East Madison Road, blacksmith demonstrations all day at the historical association building, maple cotton candy demonstration and sales, a nature/plant walk with Sonia Avecedo from 3-4 p.m. (meet at Jacobs’ Pines on Lower Mills Road in East Madison), a silent auction at 10 a.m. at the East Madison fire station.
There also will be a dinner from 4:30-6:30 p.m. at the Grange and a movie there at 7 p.m.
July 21 is National Ice Cream Day. There will be a birding walk at Jacobs’ Pines with Ann Dorney at 8 a.m., a hot dog/dynamite luncheon from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. with ice cream sundaes, and a lending library official opening and book talk with Lynn Plourde at 1 p.m. (people can bring books for her to sign).
The silent auction ends at 1:30 p.m. Winners will be announced following the library talk.
