In Augusta, the Annual Back to School Backpack Giveaway is set for 1-3 p.m. Sunday at the Augusta Civic Center, 76 Community Drive. Any school-aged child in need of a backpack and school supplies for the 2024-25 school year is welcome to stop in for a free backpack filled with school supplies. Students must be present. Booths will be setup for activities like face painting, karate demonstrations, free book giveaways, food giveaways and more.
