CAMDEN — The Midcoast Community Chorus has announced the start of its 2024 fall semester. No auditions are required, and every musical skill level is welcome.
Weekly rehearsals are set for 6:30-8:30 p.m. Mondays at the First Congregational Church of Camden at 55 Elm St., according to a news release from the chorus.
Registration is set 5-6:15 p.m. Monday, Sept. 9, and Monday, Sept. 16, with a late registration date set for Monday, Sept. 23. Rehearsal will follow.
During registration, optional brief voice checks will be conducted to help place one in the right section. After registration, there will be a welcome orientation at 6:30 p.m. followed by the first rehearsal. This is an opportunity to meet fellow chorus members, learn about the upcoming season, and get a taste of the music we’ll be performing.
Dues cost $85 for the semester; scholarships are available. Sheet music is provided, and musical educational support opportunities will be offered throughout the semester, which will culminate in a local concert in mid-January.
