Q&A
1) Define what “success” would look like if you are elected to serve your district.
Success for Litchfield, Monmouth and Wales includes three legislative initiatives: 1) a new school funding model that removes the penalties for RSU withdrawal and rewards lowering school administrative costs while rewarding teaching excellence; 2) controlling corporate solar arrays; and 3) reinstating the senior citizen property tax freeze.
2) Name one issue the Legislature handled last session. Explain why you agree or disagree with the final outcome.
When paychecks are buying less and less, it is outrageous that my opponent voted three times in support of a 64% legislator pay raise on top of inflation. I voted against this proposal twice in my legislative terms. The point of having a citizen legislature that represents the Maine people is that legislative service should not create career politicians who get lifetime retirement benefits.
OPPONENT: Randall Greenwood, R-Wales
