AUGUSTA — GrowSmart Maine has been awarded a grant from the USDA Agricultural Marketing Services’ Regional Food System Partnerships Program.
They were awarded $152,952 to be used for the establishment of the Downeast Food System Partnership program. GrowSmart Maine will implement the initiative in cooperation with program partners Sunrise County Economic Council, Healthy Acadia, and Hancock County Planning Commission.
They were one of 10 projects selected across the country.
