Buffalo Wild Wings GO will open its location at 34 Western Ave. in Augusta on Monday, the popular chain restaurant announced Friday.

“This opening marks an exciting moment both for the Buffalo Wild Wings brand and for me personally to be celebrating Maine’s second GO location,” Jason Cole, Maine Buffalo Wild Wings franchisee, said in a press release. “Our team looks forward to serving and supporting the Augusta community both within and beyond our restaurant’s doors!”

The Augusta location marks the first BWW of any kind in central Maine, with the closest restaurant locations in Auburn and Topsham. The other GO location is in South Portland.

The GO format offers takeout and delivery, and the Augusta location also will have in-person dining.

The 1,800-square-foot restaurant has 20 employees and will be open daily 11 a.m.-11p.m.

Buffalo Wild Wings serves chicken wings with a variety of options, appetizers and burgers.

The restaurant chain is under the Inspire Brands corporate umbrella along with Arby’s, Baskin-Robbins, Dunkin’, Jimmy John’s and Sonic.
