UNITY — Unity Public Library is partnering with Mammie’s Country Kitchen, 215 Depot St., to present a Lunchtime Learning speaker series at noon the third Friday of each month.
Attendees can order a meal or a snack for the hourlong presentation.
The series is set to begin Friday, Jan. 17, with Gardiner Bryan of Heavy Element, a new media production studio, presenting “But I Have Nothing To Hide” about how to keep one’s identity and data safe online, including password managers, secure applications, safe searching and messaging, ad blocking and social media.
On Feb. 21, Craig Freshly, author and facilitator, plans to talk on how to have harmonious and productive conversations with people with whom one disagrees.
On March 21, Don Schultz, local author and historian, is set to read from and discusses “The One-Armed Devil,” his novel about Union General Phil Kearney in the Civil War.
On April 18, Vanessa Burrill with Revision Energy is scheduled to explain Solar 101 as well as options for community solar farms in Maine.
