Less than two months after opening a new location at Sugarloaf, Brickyard Hollow has temporarily closed its brewpub about 10 miles away in Eustis.
Brad Moll, owner of the Maine-based chain of pizza-centric brewpubs, said the Eustis location closed Jan. 25 because the lack of snow has resulted in lost business from snowmobilers, which the restaurant relies on in winter.
“We are shut down for the time being,” he said. “We’re trying to figure out the direction to go there.”
Whether the restaurant reopens this season is weather-dependent, Moll said. If there is an opportunity to reopen, he said, he would be able to staff the restaurant with help from employees at other locations, including the one that opened in early December at Sugarloaf.
Brickyard Hollow’s other locations are in Ogunquit, Biddeford, Portland, New Gloucester, Yarmouth, Freeport, Brunswick, Augusta and Skowhegan.
