The 15th annual all-day Maine Artisan Bread Fair, hosted by the Maine Grain Alliance, is scheduled to take place July 26 at The Skowhegan State Fairgrounds.

More than 60 vendors will be selling artisan breads, baked goods, baking equipment, baking supplies and other foods. The Bread n Jammers, The Fossils and Sagittarius Rising will be playing live music. The popular festival runs from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and costs $5 per fairgoer.

Workshops on pasta, fougasse, focaccia and sourdough will be held throughout the day. To register and for details, go to the fair website.

The mission of the Maine Grain Alliance is to “inspire and empower people who are building local grain economies and regional grain economies,” said Tristan Noyes, executive director of the alliance. The fair, alongside the Kneading Conference, which precedes the fair, provides bakers, millers, seed savers, conservationists and farmers a time to celebrate sustainable grain practices with the community.
