Adrianna Smith had a double-double but the University of Maine women’s basketball team lost to North Carolina State 66-47 on Tuesday in Raleigh, North Carolina.
Smith scored 11 points and pulled down 10 rebounds for the Black Bears (0-2) in her second game since missing all of last season with a knee injury. She had six rebounds in the first quarter.
Asta Blauenfeldt scored a team-high 16 points for Maine.
Khamil Pierre scored 18 points and grabbed 10 rebounds for the Wolfpack (2-1) the No. 10 ranked team in the Associated Press Top 25 poll.
