The Reading Fightin Phils scored six runs in the seventh inning, breaking up a no-hit bid in the process, as they rallied for a 7-3 win over the Portland Sea Dogs in an Eastern League game Saturday afternoon at Hadlock Field.
Jedixson Paez and Dalton Rogers both pitched three innings without allowing a hit, but the Fightin Phils struck in the seventh against reliever Joe Vogatsky. A two-run single by Jordan Dissin gave Reading a 3-2 lead, and Bryson Ware followed with a three-run homer.
Franklin Arias smacked his 11th home run of the season for the Sea Dogs, who had won four in a row. Nate Baez was 3 for 5, and Arias and Johanfran Garcia both had two hits.
