Caden Rose scored the go-ahead run on an RBI groundout by Will Turner in the top of the eighth inning, and the Portland Sea Dogs rallied from seven runs down to beat the Binghamton Rumble Ponies 10-9 in an Eastern League game Thursday in Binghamton, New York.

Portland trailed 9-2 after Binghamton scored seven runs in the fourth inning. The Sea Dogs started the comeback in the fifth, scoring six times on a two-run single by Brooks Brannon, an RBI single by Marvin Alcantara, an RBI groundout by Nate Baez and a two-run home run by Johanfran Garcia.

The Sea Dogs tied it in the top of the seventh on Tyler McDonough’s RBI ground-rule double.

Jose Ramos hit a three-run home run and JT Schwartz added a solo shot in Binghamton’s big fourth inning. D’Andre Smith also had a two-run double in the inning.

Alcantara hit an RBI double in the first inning for Portland, which has won eight of its last nine.
