FAYETTE — Stephen Hammond, of Fayette, has announced the engagement of his daughter, Chelsea Hammond, to Doug Sawyer, both of Belgrade. Doug is the son of John and Pamela Sawyer, of Columbia Falls.
Chelsea is a 2004 graduate of Kents Hill School, attended Endicott College, and is currently enrolled in the New England College of Business and Finance. She is employed by The Bank of Maine in Winthrop.

Doug is a 2001 graduate of Narraguagus High School in Harrington, a 2003 graduate of Central Maine Technical College in Auburn, and is employed by Mid Maine Generator in Winthrop.
They are planning an Oct. 11, 2014, wedding in Bristol.
