UNITY — The deadline to apply to the Common Ground Country Fair as a food vendor is Saturday, Dec. 31.
Food vendors should emphasize seasonally available ingredients, and all foods and food ingredients sold at the fair must be produced organically in Maine whenever possible, according to a news release from Maine Organic Farmers and Gardeners Association.
The 2023 fair is scheduled for Friday through Sunday, Sept. 22-24.
To learn more, check out the 2023 food vendor application at commonground.festivalpro.com and Food Area Guidelines at mofga.org.
Those who have any questions, or who need any assistance sourcing ingredients or with the application process, can contact Wendy Watson, fair food liaison, at 207-568-6041 or [email protected].

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
