The Nova Star ferry service between Portland and Yarmouth, Nova Scotia, was canceled Saturday due to winds of up to 70 mph.

The crossing from Yarmouth to Portland and the overnight crossing from Portland to Yarmouth have been canceled.

Regularly scheduled service will return Sunday with a 9:30 a.m. departure from Yarmouth.

Customers with reservations for the canceled sailings can either change their reservation to the next available voyage or any other voyage this season or cancel their reservation for a full refund, the company said. The reservation center is available at 1-866-864-6295.
