Falmouth police said Saturday that a local man who had last been seen Friday was located and is all right.

They said Jay A. Schaefer had been in a Falmouth rehabilitation center and was reported missing when he failed to return after a doctor’s appointment.

Police called local hotels and cab companies and a cabdriver reported taking someone matching Schaefer’s description to the Motel 6 on Riverside Street in Portland.

Falmouth police Sgt. George Savage said officers met with Schaefer at the motel and made sure he was safe and had the medications that he needed.
