Two men were seriously hurt when they were hit by a car as they walked near the intersection of Roosevelt Trail and Franklin Drive in Windham on Friday night.

Windham police said Joel Sanborn, 40, of Bridgton and Matthew Hall, 42, of Naples were walking east on Roosevelt Trail around 9:35 p.m. when they were struck by a 2015 Volvo driven by Anne Marie Bell, 51, of Kennebunk.

The men were taken to Maine Medical Center in Portland with serious injuries, police said.

Both men were listed in fair condition at the hospital Saturday.

Bell was not hurt.

Roosevelt Trail was closed for about 2½ hours.

The cause of the accident is being investigated, police said.
