The 28-year-old Corinna man, who police said was suicidal, had a gun and was parked at the end of the parking lot near U.S. Route 2, causing a massive police response at Wal-Mart as customers were kept locked inside the store for more than two hours.

Timothy Danforth, 24, charged with murder in the death of Micheal Reis, 24, of New Sharon, is being held without bail following his Friday arraignment.

Timothy Danforth, 24, was arrested Thursday and charged with killing Michael Reis, of New Sharon, on June 1 at Danforth’s Weld Road mobile home in Wilton.
