According to Debora King, executive director of the Brunswick Downtown Association, it was “loud and clear” from business owners that while they were interested in using the extra space available on Brunswick’s sidewalks, they were not interested in blocking any parking spaces to do so.

Memorial Rock moved front and center outside Brunswick High School
The rock has been a fixture in Brunswick for decades and honors Brunswick High School alumni who “made the ultimate sacrifice for their country.” There are two plaques, one honoring those who died in World War II, and the other honoring those who died in the Korean War and the Vietnam War.
