Residents of Bay Bridge Estates have been dealing with water supply issues for two weeks and the town has stepped in to force the park’s owner to remedy the situation.

Residents at Bay Bridge Estates – many of them elderly – say they’ve been unable to shower, do laundry or wash dishes. Municipal officials say the situation has become a public health issue.

Tenants of Bay Bridge Estates say the recent water shortage, likely related to the extended stretch of cold weather, is the latest problem they have had with the park’s owner.

The blaze in the 1850 Cape-style home started when two occupants were trying to thaw frozen pipes with heating equipment, officials say.
