Police identify victims, a woman and young boy, in fatal Liberty crash

This is the second fatal crash in two days on the same stretch of Route 3.

The crash, involving a pickup truck and a box truck, occurred on Route 3 in front of Lake St. George State Park.

Police say Riley Boulay, 16, of Liberty, was on his way to school when the accident happened, citing speed as the main factor.

The unidentified man was having engine problems with his vehicle and pulled over on Route 3 in Liberty, police said.

The crash between a passenger vehicle and an oil truck happened Monday afternoon on Route 3, near Marshall Shore Road, police said.
