FARMINGTON — The Franklin County Children’s Task Force will offer a 10-week parent education class. The class is scheduled for 1-7:30 p.m. Tuesdays, Jan. 9, 23, 30, Feb. 6, 13, 27, March 5, 12, 19 and 26 at the Franklin County Children’s Task Force, 113 Church St.

The class will include lessons in the following: what nurturing parenting means, ages and stages of growth for infants and toddlers, ways to enhance positive brain development in children and teens, communicating with respect, building self-worth in children, understanding feelings, understanding and developing family morals, values and rules, praising children and their behavior, alternatives to spanking, and Learning positive ways to deal with stress and anger.
