ITHACA, N.Y. — Matthew Bonsant, a junior at Ithaca College, Ithaca, New York, will attend the Los Angeles 2012 Spring Internship Program through Ithaca College.
Bonsant is one of 75 applicants selected nationwide. He is a television-radio major at the college’s Roy H. Parks School of Communications. He will be working at CBS Sports.
A 2009 graduate of Cony High School, he is the son of Gary and Susan Bonsant of Augusta, Maine.
SPRINGFIELD, Mass. — Two local students, Amanda Black of Wayne, Maine, and Kelsey Hallowell of Mount Vernon, Maine, recently received degrees from Springfield College.
Black received a bachelor’s degree in rehabilitation and disability studies.
Hallowell received a bachelor’s degree in communication sciences and disorders.
ALBANY, N.Y. — Michael A. Darling of Wayne, Maine, recently received an associate’s degree in administrative/management studies from Excelsior College.
BRUNSWICK — Downeast Energy has awarded scholarships to the following local students:
* Courtney Gilman, a student at Wheaton College and graduate of Maranacook Community High School.
* Eric Ogren, a student at Husson University and graduate of Maranacook Community High School.
* and Lacy Wilson of Gardiner, a student at the University of New England.
