FREEPORT — Community Spay-Neuter Clinic of Freeport will offer $30 spay-neuter surgeries to cat owners living in Waterville, Benton and Clinton. Free van transport brings cats to and from the clinic for day surgery every week. This is a targeted effort to reduce cat overpopulation in Waterville.

Fairfield’s Wadleigh completes boot camp
FAIRFIELD — Private First Class Casey D. Wadleigh, 18, of Fairfield recently graduated from the United States Marine Corps boot camp at Marine Corps Recruit Depot, Parris Island, S.C.. He successfully completed 13 weeks of basic training at MCRD Parris Island, as one of 79 recruits in training platoon 3102.
