Regional School Unit 18, Belgrade, China, Oakland, Rome and Sidney, announce that pre-k registration packets will be available at elementary schools starting Thursday, Feb. 1.

Parent and guardians who intend to send their child to pre-k in the fall can pickup registration packets at their local school office. Children must be 4 years old by Oct. 15, 2012, to qualify for the program.

Kindergarten screening will be held on the following dates:

* Belgrade Central School, Wednesday, March 28; 495-2321.

* China Primary School, Friday, April 6; 445-1550.

* Atwood Elementary School, Wednesday, April 4; 465-3411.

* James Bean School, Monday, March 26; 547-3395.

Parents who intend to send their school-age child to kindergarten in the fall must make an appointment at the local school office. Children must be 5 years old by Oct. 15, 2012, to attend kindergarten in the fall.
