HALLOWELL — Americans Elect will hold a municipal caucus at 4 p.m. Saturday at 1 Winthrop St.

The agenda will include election of a secretary and chairperson; nomination of county committee members; and election of delegates to the state convention.

WINDSOR — Nomination papers will be available beginning Monday for candidates seeking municipal and school posts.

The positions up for election this year include two selectmen, three budget committee members and one representative to the board of Regional School Unit 12.

The incumbents are selectmen Marty Dow and Ray Bates, school board member F. Gerard Nault and budget committee members Frank Seigars, Thomas Reed and Jeffrey Lauder. All are three-year posts.

The nomination papers are due back to at the Town Office April 27.

Voting for municipal offices is set for June 12, and the annual town meeting is June 16.

 

Randolph electionis June 12

RANDOLPH — Residents on June 12 will vote for one person to fill a three-year selectmen’s position; one person to fill a four-year SAD 11 position; and three people to fill vacant seats on the Budget Committee. Those are four-year term positions.

Nomination papers will be available on Monday and due back in the Town Office by April 27.

Polls on June 12 will be open 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. at the Town Office, 121 Kinderhook St.

Vassalboro board to discuss grant

VASSALBORO — Selectmen Thursday will entertain a request from Brent Dugal of DP Industries for assistance in getting Community Development Block Grant funding.

DP Industries on Gray Road manufactures a variety of small items, including garden markers and other kinds of signs and tags.

Gail Chase from Kennebec Valley Council of Governments is supporting Dugal’s application.

Also on Thursday’s agenda are an update on the town’s investment account and consideration of revising the just-adopted ordinance governing posted roads.

Selectmen meet at 7 p.m. in the Town Office.
