Auxiliary donates hospitality cart

FARMINGTON — The Franklin Memorial Hospital Auxiliary recently presented the FMH volunteer department with a hospitality cart to be used by volunteers to deliver donated items to patients and family members in the oncology department.

Pittsfield library plans St. Patrick’s Day event

PITTSFIELD — Pittsfield Public Library visitors recently paid tribute to Dr. Seuss on his birthday. Participants celebrated with art and stories, and sang “Happy Birthday” before enjoying a “Red Fish Blue Fish”-themed birthday cake donated by Bud’s Shop ‘n’ Save for the occasion.

Teens To Trails grants given to 11 high school outing clubs

EDGECOMB — Teens To Trails recently announced this year’s Outing Club grant recipients from 11 high schools across the state, including four new teen Outing Club programs. Grant awards were made to: Biddeford High School, Cony High School, Deer Isle-Stonington High School, Deering High School, Dirigo High School, Maine Central Institute, Maine School of Science and Mathematics, Portland High School, South Portland High School, The New School and Thornton Academy.
