Land use forum Tuesday in Stratton
STRATTON — The Greater Franklin Development Corporation, in partnership with the Western Mountains Alliance, will host a community forum exploring land use and the potential impact of proposed legislation to reform the Land Use Regulation Commission. The forum will begin at 6 p.m. Tuesday at the Eustis Community Building in Stratton.
Brown accepted to Joffery Ballet Co.
WINSLOW — Rachel Brown, 13, recently auditioned and was accepted to the Joffrey Ballet Co. summer program in New York City. She was also awarded a scholarship. Brown is a student and assistant instructor at Laurie’s School of Dance where she studies ballet, pointe, jazz, tap, contemporary and modern.
Summer health careers exploration camp set
FARMINGTON — Franklin Community Health Network will host Summer Scrub Club Camp from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., June 25-29 at the Ben Franklin Center at Franklin Memorial Hospital. Participants will be introduced to careers in health care. It is open to all students entering grades eight through 12.
