WATERVILLE — Educare of Central Maine will host a free children’s car seat safety check 8 a.m.-3 p.m. Friday at 56 Drummond Ave. Parents, grandparents and caregivers can learn to correctly install a car seat, get a car seat inspected, or ask questions. Two certified car-seat safety technicians will provide education and guidance.

More than 80 percent of car seats are incorrectly installed due to the many styles of safety seats and variety of vehicles. Each inspection takes approximately 45 minutes.
