Supreme Court decision will cripple health care
By upholding Obamacare the Supreme Court has changed this county as we know it. I worked in health care 40 years and this act will cripple health care: higher premiums, longer wait times to see a physician, denied/delayed surgeries, etc. Socialized medicine has not been successful even in Canada, but here we go following their lead.
Society’s insulters should take stock of their actions
A most disturbing situation — a callous attitude of disrespect — has become all too prevalent in our nation. It is experienced by elders of our society, by parents to children and vice versa, by drivers of various vehicles (some with booming radios or resonators on exhausts) plus the common use of obscene gestures.
Romney’s spin on health care not supported by facts
In typical Romney-speak, Mitt Romney attempted to spin the landmark Supreme Court decision that allows this country to become the last developed country in the world to guarantee health care to its citizens. The Affordable Care Act will benefit almost all of the 50 million citizens currently underserved by traditional health insurance practices, not just the 2-3 million, according to the CBO, helped by Romney’s proposed health care plan. He pledges to repeal “Obamacare.” Good luck with that empty “promise.”
Keschl stays in touch with constituents, their schools
It is my pleasure to write this letter in support of Rep. Denny Keschl. I have had the opportunity of working with Keschl while he has been serving as state representative to two of our RSU 38 communities (Manchester and Mount Vernon). I’ve also had the pleasure of working with him while he was town manager for Belgrade.
SAD 13 meetingsshow lack of respect
I consider verbal abuse to be disgusting, immoral and unethical. I believe verbal abuse has been normal practice in SAD 13’s board room and now in our public budget meetings. It’s time to put respect for other people back into public gatherings.
Supreme Court did its jobin upholding ACA
Now that the Supreme Court has ruled on the Affordable Care Act, it is not a time to gloat or to despair.
STILL LIFE: Shot in the back, but it’s OK
